Foot & Ankle Surgeon

The signature difference

Minimally invasive surgery, done right.

Traditional bunion surgery means a long incision, a visible scar, and weeks of painful recovery. Dr. Farooqi corrects bunions, hammertoes, and heel spurs through incisions just millimeters long, guided by live imaging.

Trained in both open and minimally invasive techniques during a three-year surgical residency at Bellevue Hospital, he'll recommend what's genuinely right for your foot, not what's easiest to bill.

Good to know

Questions, answered.

What happens at my first visit?

A thorough exam and an honest conversation. If imaging is needed, digital X-rays are taken on the spot, so you leave with a diagnosis and a clear plan, not a referral slip and another appointment somewhere else.

Do I need a referral?

Most plans let you see a podiatrist directly, though some HMO plans require a referral. Call the office with your insurance details and we'll help you check before you book.

How is minimally invasive surgery different?

Instead of one long incision, corrections are made through openings just millimeters wide. For most patients that means less visible scarring, less post-operative pain, and a quicker return to normal life. Recovery time varies by procedure, and Dr. Farooqi will walk you through exactly what to expect at your consultation.

Can I be seen quickly?

Same-week appointments are usually available, and the schedule is built around Midtown work hours: early mornings on Monday, evenings on Thursday, and virtual visits on Friday. For urgent issues, call and we'll do our best to fit you in.

What if my deductible is high or I'm uninsured?

Reasonable self-pay rates are available. Just ask when booking. We also work with Workers' Compensation and No-fault claims.
