Ingrown & fungal nails

Nail problems you don't have to live with.

An ingrown nail digging in with every step. Thickened, discolored nails you'd rather keep hidden. Or nails you simply can't reach the way you used to. Whatever the state of things, we treat them all, without judgment, and usually faster than you'd expect.

How we treat it

Relief today. A fix that lasts.

Most nail problems can be sorted in a single visit. For ingrown nails that keep coming back, there's a quick in-office procedure that addresses the problem edge permanently for many patients.

Step one

Immediate relief

Whatever brought you in, the first job is making it stop hurting and restoring healthy nails.

  • Gentle correction and trimming of painful nails
  • Treatment of infection at the nail edge
  • Honest fungal nail care, with realistic expectations
For repeat offenders

Permanent ingrown correction

If the same edge keeps growing in, a brief in-office procedure under local numbing can correct it at the source, so it stops coming back.

  • Done in one visit under local anesthetic
  • Targets only the problem edge of the nail
  • Simple aftercare; most patients walk out comfortably

The signature fix

The ingrown nail, fixed for good.

Trimming an ingrown nail buys you a few weeks. Correcting the edge that keeps growing in buys you your life back. The procedure is quick, done under local numbing, and for many patients it permanently ends the cycle.

Dr. Farooqi will examine the nail, explain whether you're a good candidate, and walk you through exactly what the procedure involves before anything happens.

Nail questions

Asked all the time.

Will fixing my ingrown nail hurt?

The toe is fully numbed before anything is done. The anesthetic injection stings briefly, and after that most patients report feeling pressure rather than pain.

Will my nail look normal afterward?

After permanent correction the nail is typically very slightly narrower along the treated edge, and for most patients it looks entirely natural. You'll see examples and know what to expect beforehand.

Can fungal nails actually be cured?

They can improve significantly, but it takes patience: a nail only looks better as the new, healthy nail slowly grows out over months. We'll give you an honest assessment of your options rather than overpromising.

Should I cut a V in the nail or try home remedies first?

Please don't. The V-notch trick is a myth, and bathroom surgery on an ingrown nail is how minor problems become infections. A quick visit is faster, safer, and far less painful.

One visit. A clear answer.

Sandal season shouldn't require courage.
